This week I'm offering a variety of collectibles, including trading cards as well as comics. In the Seventies, more and more fine comics artists had high quality examples of their work published in the form of limited edition portfolios. This enabled collectors to appreciate the beauty and detail of the art, which had often been published originally in a form that obscured that detail. Many of these portfolios have become highly collectible, as they were generally issued in small print runs. They are avidly collected today. Here I have "Finlay's Illustrations for Weird Tales," published in 1976, showcasing the work of legendary illustrator Virgil Finlay. Finaly worked for the iconic pulp magazine Weird Tales for most of its run, and his artwork, known for his use of fine line work, continues to impress us today.
